Louvre Museum Guided Visit

This fantastic Guided Tour of the Louvre takes you through the Tuileries Gardens, and then focuses on 3 world famous works: The Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory and of course Leonardo da Vinci's The Mona Lisa. You are free to explore the remainder of the museum at leisure and the included entrance ticket also gives access to all the temporary exhibitions on the same day.

Opening hours:


From November 1st to March 31st: Departure: 9.15 am on Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday except 1st Sunday of the month.

From April 1st to October 31st: Departure: 9.15 am every day except Tuesday and the 1st Sunday of the month.

Excludes April 12-13th, May 1st & 8th, August 15th, November 1st, December 25th 2009, January 1st 2010.

Description

The Musée du Louvre is arguably the world's most famous museum and its successive architectural metamorphoses has dominated central Paris since the late 12th century. The original dark fortress was gradually transformed and inhabited by the Kings of France including Louis XIV, the Sun King. It was turned into a museum in 1793.

This fantastic Guided Tour of the Louvre takes you through the Tuileries Gardens, and then focuses on 3 world famous works: The Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory and of course Leonardo da Vinci's The Mona Lisa.
