During almost all of the 19th century, well before the
Arrival of the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre or the Tour Montparnasse, the Pantheon was the main monument seen by a visitors on arrival in Paris, and the one from where they could admire the city with one complete unique view.
